Experiencing the Field of Education

It's been a tough 3 and half years of journey before we finally experience the actual field of education. What I can say is that it is really different from what we view, what we know about education is different from reality. As we go on to our journey in education by being deployed to in and off campus the sense of reality is really rubbing off.

As we experienced the actual school settings, I realized so many things. One of my realizations is that theories and reality are really different to each other. As we are all well versed in different theory I thought that it can be easily applied in real school setting but as I observed, although some of it are implemented by the teachers many of the theories can't be applied because the most important are the students, even if you want to apply the theories there will always be changes and discrepancy because in reality there are situations that can't be help and this may cause disruptions that the teacher can't help to just proceed without minding the theories. I also realized that the most important thing is to make the discussion enjoyable as much as possible because if the students does't want to participate then the lesson will be doomed to fail so the lesson should be relatable and enjoyable for the students. I also realized that being a teacher is a hard work and needs a lot of patience but at the end, if the students learn from you it is so rewarding and it pays off the hard work that you put through.
